Annual Dutch Visit to UK Last months Easter Bank Holiday weekend see the return of Stefan Hoogendoorn & Wilfred Hop ( Riskys Dutch Staffords ) for their annual visit to the Riskys Staffords HQ.. This year they brought over Clash of the K9's competition winner under 45cm's Riskys Dutch Cathy.. I must say she looked amazing, still in fantastic rock hard condition.. She reminded me of my old foundation Risky Miss from back in the day when she used to compete at the Ed Reid Intercontinetal dog shows, very similar shape and make displaying the same rock hard condition.. On the Friday afternoon we all travelled into London to visit breed connoisseur Bob Smith who owns Ozzy the sire of Cathy for him to see. Bob was like myself also very pleased with her and happy that his dog had helped produce such a fine sporting athletic Staffordshire Bull Terrier for Wilfred. Whilst at Bobs we took the dogs out for a stroll in his local park to get some pictures and some general dog chat !! he was telling us that Ozzy had just passed his 11th birthday, as you will see from the pics, he's still in great shape for a veteran..Credits to Bob.. Saturday had been arranged for us all to drive to Oxfordshire meeting up with well respected dog man Phil Green from Stoke on Trent, Phil had 3 of his dogs with him for Stefan and Wilfred to see. Jade and 2 of her offspring Sid and Rosie, all extremely athletic specimens in cracking condition. I think Wilfred see a potential Stud dog in Sid for his Cathy when the time comes for her to be bred. We visited a local country park and had a good long walk out chatting dogs and getting some more fantastic pictures along the way. Afterwards we all continued to the Oxfordshire Hospital to visit the Legendary dog man Jimmy McEwan who had been taken ill a week or so before to help lift his spirits. anyone who knows Jim will know he lives eats sleeps Staffordshire Bull Terriers, his passion is unbelievable. He was very pleased to see us all and as always had lots to say !!.. I call Jimmy the teacher because no matter when ever you see him, you will always come away educated!! We all wished Jimmy a speedy recovery and all returned home some hrs later.. The Sunday morning Stefan and Wilfred said their good byes and headed back for Holland but had just one more stop along the way home and that was for another dog day in Belgium to see good friend Peter Schotte and his dogs.. I would like to thank Stefan and Wifred for taking the time to come visit the Riskys Staffords HQ. Its always pleasure to see you both and you are always welcome at anytime.. Please see a selection of photos below from our weekend. Regards Gary B..
