Nancy Malec of YankeeStaff..

I recently had a very long educational and informative telephone conversation with Nancy Malec from the world Famous YankeeStaff Kennels. We talked about some of her dogs from the past and the direction she was planning to take her present day dogs and a certain type she was breeding towards.

We also talked about when Nancy was invited over to the UK in 2004 to judge the East Anglian Staffordshire Bull Terrier Open Show. This was a show where Chris Brand and myself had entered some of our dogs along with some other hardcore athletic Stafford enthusiasts, Ray Holmes from ( Itzmastaff ).. Rob Richards & Keeley Kane from ( Ghostlyease Staffords ) and Mel Smith just to name a few entering. I also handled someone else's dog for them ( Mason ) a dog sired from Rob Richards Ghostlyeases Nathan.

Nancy said she was totally amazed. There was such a great turn out all round on the day with some fine looking and beautifully conditioned Athletic Staffordshire Bull Terriers taking some placings in the line ups.. We talked about when Nancy visited my kennels some days later after the show to take a look at Dixie & Rocco with the rest of my dogs that I owned at that particular time, on that same day we journeyed down to visit Co- Founder/ Breeder Chris Brand to show Nancy his kennel set up and dogs Spook & Bear Jnr and a number of the others that Chris also owned. The dogs that we had reminded Nancy of some of her early foundation dogs from the Uk before she moved to the USA. This was a total honour and pleasure for both Chris and myself to have Nancy visit our kennels.. A day of "History" in the Making !!

I am hoping for Nancy to come visit again in the very near future to see the present day dogs at Risky's Staffords and the "New Direction" with the bloodline we are also heading towards !!
