Riskys Miss Timberfake.. (Nikki)

This months blog has so kindly been sent in by my good friend Leonhard Klotz from Italy, who owns Riskys Miss Timberfake ( Nikki ). I would like to thank him for taking the time to write all about her and for all the regular updates and pictures he sends me on her progress.

I visited the Riskys Staffords Kennel this winter on a London trip. As a Staffordshire Bull Terrier enthusiast I was really curious to see the dogs in real life and to meet Gary. The high drive and great conformation of the dogs was easy to see. I loved the back and topline which made the dogs really springy and they always seemed ready to go. The two dogs I like the most were Captain Barclay and Maggie, so when Gary later on told me he had mated them I decided to get a pup.
When I came to collect her you could already see the perfect rear angulation on her and her sister.
Once at her new home she instantly made a friend in our other Stafford, Sammy a 2 year old male from the Wild Staffy Kennel.
Nikki is now 8 months old and really represents what I expected from a Riskys bred dog. Tremendous drive, cat like movement, good length of muzzle, legs and body and that typical Riskys head. She's a really people loving and affectionate young female.
I am really impressed by her agility and flexibility and fluid movements which she displays on the flirt pole and her wrestling matches with Sammy. I have hardly ever seen a Bull and Terrier type dog being able to move like her. Her weight is around 16kg and height about 44cms at the withers.
I'm really pleased with her and look forward to her progress. I could very well see some throw back to Riskys Simply the Best ( MJ ) in her.
Special thanks to Gary and my brother who took the very long car journey with me from Italy to the UK to collect Nikki. And a big thanks to my girlfriend and sister who are always helping me with the dogs.
